Patricia is a highly experienced lawyer who worked for the Government of Uganda in different capacities for about 15 years. She rose through the ranks and left government service at the level of Director Legal and Advisory Services in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority.
Patricia participated in the drafting of different legislation including the Public Procurement and Disposal pf Public Assets Act and Regulations. Patricia was also responsible for the annual procurement performance measurement system report which helped inform government decisions regarding procurement in Uganda. She also advised the government on a wide range of legal issues. At the international level, she also participated in drafting and negotiation of treaties and protocols on the behalf of the Government. She was also the desk office in charge of the East African Community at the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs responsible for all legal issues regarding the Community. Patricia also negotiated contracts on behalf of the Government. Patricia also participated in the consultancy to draft the procurement regulations and bidding documents for the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Patricia holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University in Uganda a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M) degree in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala.
Her areas of practice are procurement law, trade law, corporate law and commercial law. She has over 20 years of experience in legal practice.
Patricia is interested in mentoring young people and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counselling.
